The sub-title says something about over 50 being the "prime of life"! Being over 50 myself, I find that encouraging! Learning yoga from a book is always (for me) difficult to do because the usually just show the pose and not how to get into it. This one shows each step with descriptions of what it should and should not look or feel like. Modifications are made for those who are less flexible as well. This neat little book is well suited for those of us over 50, but is helpful for anyone. It is not "chair yoga", for those who lack mobility. The clear illustrations picture "mature" individuals performing their asanas well, without assistance of blocks, walls, or straps- props which seem to me as counterproductive. Although it is not a large book, it contains sufficient poses to guide you through many sessions.
