i like the storyline behind this series of books a lot. but this one fell short. if you have all this security and all this technology, when someone hits "emergency stop" in the elevator, it should set off all kinds of alarms, not to mention cameras. and their building is SO very easy to get out of undectected? sorry, not buying that. no romantic sex at all, just "down and dirty and quick". here's the ending to the story: "I love you". THE END. giving it a 3 was being generous!

As with all the books in this series, this is super sexy, crazy fun, but way to short and way too rushed. I love these characters and absolutely see them together, but not after 12 hours with none of that time spent outside of crisis. I wish Kent had written this whole story because it would have been stellar.

This book started out totally believable... the scenario in which Kelly (and Hank) has to ask Emma for help is possible, and Emma was well drawn out as a lady who would be up for it. But the action was wrapped up so quickly and easily (maybe to lead to other developments in later books?) and it's hard for me to believe a jaded soul like Kelly John could fall in love & admit to it after only 12 hours with her. I did like their romance - very sexy.
With a bit more back story on these characters, Kent may have been on to something beautiful. Instead we just get 128 pages that feel like they start the story somewhere in the middle.

Oh well it's what I'm in the mood for so it is working for me. But if you are looking for short (on develoement) & sweet then this is not the series for you.

I often read of or hear about authors who knew they were meant to tell stories from the time they left the crib. Me? I didn't decide what I wanted to be when I grew up until I was thirty years old - and then sold my first book at thirty-four. Still, it was obvious that I always knew I was going places.

Like so many other authors, I was a voracious reader from day one, devouring everything from Nanc
