Shelves: juvenile-fantasy
It took me two years to start reading this book after receiving it at a conference, mostly because the cover was really awful. The book was much better than the cover, but still only earned two stars.
This kitchen-sink novel wasn't bad for the first half, but spun completely out of control by the end.
By kitchen-sink, I mean that it tries to tie together a huge number of different fantasy concepts, kind of like Silverlock by John Myers Myers. Unfortunately for this book, Myers was a much more expe
