Recommends it for: anyone who loves serious literature
Sarabande is a gripping and very moving story. Although we find out at the beginning that Janna, the heroine, has died, the story is full of tension, suspense and drama till the end. You get close to the characters: Janna, the heroine, is easy-going and yet complex. I felt for her when she was faced with her choices, when she was depressed seeing children die under her hands in the operating theatre. She's a doctor.
