In a single moment "Adam" had lost everything...even himself. The man had awakened to unfamiliar walls, unfamiliar faces, with no memory of who he is or how he has come to be in this place. He's been in a fire over the past year his face has been reconstructed by plastic surgeons, and he has not been able to recall his identity. His fingerprints have been burned off and his voice has been altered by the smoke damage. There seems to be no way to discover who he was.

A big factor in my rating of this book stems from the fact that I am not its intended audience. However, I have been meaning to read an inspirational novel for a while and Morris is a big name in the genre. When this book came up in an amnesia subject search, I figured now was the time to take the plunge.

The religious factor doesn't actually creep into the book into a good ways into the story line, but by the time book was about half way through, there was an entire chapter occurring at a church

I found this book by Gilbert Morris to be much more interesting than the historical novels of his that I've read. It involved a man with amnesia and a new face -- the result of reconstructive surgery after a terrible accident.

Much of the book was interesting and suspenseful. Why was there no missing persons report? Did he have a criminal past? Had he been involved in something that he shouldn't have been, or something he was choosing to not remember?

The most interesting aspect of the book for me
Lauren Herberts
The book was wonderful! A man is lost, both literally and figuratively. He doesn't know who he is, where he came from, or even where he is when he wakes up. It is about his search to find out who he is and his relationship with God, about which he isn't certain exists but how does he know the Bible and how does he know what is right and what is most certainly against his morals.

Has more sexual content than normal for his books... a little boring and repetitive besides. I may possibly read again, though, as there were some things of interest in the book, and the characters were interesting.

A Christian house published this novel about an amnesia victim. Lots of heavy-handed and obvious Christian metaphors and elements.
