Many people think that the old alchemists were trying to turn lead into gold. But in actuality, as Sandra Ingerman - a practicing shaman and psychologist - reveals, they were metaphorically working on transforming heavy leaded consciousness into gold light consciousness. Using their theories, Ingerman offers strategies for processing the harmful thoughts and emotions that ...more

Amazing!! Learn to heal those pesky troublesome thoughts!

Part of problem solving is asking how you created your own problem. Especially for women, because they are so hysterical, they are particularly prone to the toxic thought disease. Toxic thoughts are ones full of anger, frustration, rage, suspicion, isolation, sorrow or violence. If you've ever caught yourself wondering about institutional racism, sexism, homophobia or economic discrimination, you need to read this book!

An great little collection of tips for spiritual wellness. It came off as a book for beginners, but it employed some rather deep techniques without going over the basics - it just sort of tosses you in the water and tells you to swim without teaching you how. In another way, it can be seen as sort of a refresher, or quick guide, for those who are more practiced at spiritual healing techniques. I liked the tip about placing a mirror under your bed, I'd never heard of that before. It was a good bo ...more

Rarely do I read a book, of any genre, really, but especially self help, in which every word matters. This is one such book. Ingerman accomplishes with skilled brevity sharing her own very honest experience with illness, healing, and mindset, alongside practical instructions for others to do the same. Drawing on her shamanic path and skills she delivers in this text exercises that are quite doable by anyone of any path who wishes to influence his or her own wellbeing. Ingerman carefully associat ...more

There were a few helpful suggestions in this book and I will attempt to incorporate them into my emotional healing. However, a few things, such as sending out positive thoughts about their ability to deal with the tragedy of flooding to the Pakistanis to strengthen them, seemed a tad bizarre. I am also fairly certain that if I stick Post-It Notes with empowering words all over the dashboard of my car, I will be considered one of "those people." And rightly so. I just did not find it worth the ti ...more
I find that the book can be useful in finding a place to start when trying to gain peace with yourself. I find that many of its teachings don't necessarily match with how I like to conduct myself and the ways I like to empathize with others, though. After a while, it started to become a little ridiculous for me to read it.
A great little pick-me-up book. It is straight to the point and written in a pleasant tone. It is interesting how we tend to wallow in the past instead of living for today. we repeat negative thoughts instead of focusing on the positive, there is always positive. If you woke up this morning, you know it is a good day!
This is a fantastic all rounder for people starting out to work with energy. With saying that, the author had some deep profound messages that may be missed by the novice. Whilst only a small volume of work it is packed full with great direction and tools. I love this book, easy to read in a couple of hours.
Excellent book!Easy to read and contains simple and powerful tools for personal transformation.Tools which are easy to apply and have powerful results.
I've read lots of books on meditation and emotional healing and still found new insights here that I find valuable. A quick read and well worth it.
