We are the stories we tell. Our personalities are the sum of our influences. These are his stories. They shaped his life. I found most of stories enjoyable to read, although I can not relate to many of them. He grew up in a different America during a different time. It's kind of written the way he speaks, which adds to the entertainment value. It's a quick read, and of course there are valueable lessons to be learned on the pages within. It's just not his best work

I had from time to time listened to Mr. Savage's radio show when I lived in Chi.... What makes him so much better than the regular talk show host is that he has the most amazing stories to regale from his childhood.... This book encompasses a good slew of them, each with their own lesson to take away. A very enjoyable read regardless of your political persuasion.
