Recommends it for: Mississippians
A pleasant read for 'those who remember' or an easy color piece for the researcher.... If you had not been in the Jackson Municipal stadium for one of the early Ole Miss or State football games to sing the Ross Barnett 'MS anthem,' or seen polling boxes being casually cached in the rear of a good ole boy's trunk, or watched the KKK-to-Civil-Rights-to-Dems-to-Republican evolution of the Ole South, much of this may be meaningless and lost on you.
