'Fifty devotions to spur your heart toward eternity.’
In 50 Days of Heaven: Reflections that Bring Eternity to Light, Randy Alcorn pulls select portions of his bestselling book Heaven (Tyndale House, October 2004) into short, power packed devotions.
Each devotion has a bible verse, a quotation, the text of the devotion, and ends with a prayer. This was my favorite prayer. I am praying it on a daily basis:
“Father, fill us with the wonder of being able to see you face-to-face.”

A great devotional! Based on his earlier book-Heaven-which is probably my favorite theological book of all time! This was a free Kindle download and I couldn't resist it. The only problem was that I couldn't stretch it out to 50 days, most days read a couple devotionals a day. If you are curious about studying more about heaven you shouldn't miss these books.
I was very enlightning! It filled me with hope!
So much to look forward to for those who are in Christ! This daily read helped shed some more light on the coming New Heaven & New Earth, & this biblical viewpoint of Heaven is not very well understood. Every follower of Christ should seriously consider studying what Scripture teaches about heaven. A proper, ever-expanding understanding can't help but influence our lives in the here and now.
This book taught me a lot about the pending questions that i have been having about heaven and the possible 'new world'.
If you want to learn more about the New Jerusalem, pick this book (by Randy Alcorn) up and read a section every day.
It gives you a good feeling of knowledge and passion after you get done with reading it.

This book really changed my perspective on Heaven. It is always good to read a book by someone that has spent a lot of time reflecting and researching a subject that I haven't taken the time to research. Read this book, if you want to know more about Heaven.
These 50 devotions are taken from Randy Alcorn's larger work on Heaven. The Bible tells us that our bodies will be resurrected, and that God will create a New Heaven and a New Earth. Very interesting insights on what this means.
