This is a good introduction to studying pop music & film. The breadth of topics is good and anyone interested in this subject will find valuable insights here. It recognizes that pop music has not always been used well in film and that there are many poor films dealing with pop music; those old Elvis movies aren't always so great, nor are many of the rock docs out there.
