While reading this book I alternately felt joy for having discovered William Sanders and despair that it took me so long to do so. This book is a collection of his twenty-six most important short stories (speculative fiction with a Cherokee sensibility), including two that won Sideways Awards for Alternate History and two that earned Nebula Award nominations. The weakest of these stories are good. The majority are excellent. The best are absolutely stellar.
