I like the way James Moloney has written the story. It's a book that would take ages to put down. I think it's a great story because you get engrossed because of the story.

Rosie Sinclair’s grandfather is going to jail. Sure, he deserves it, as he’s never been caught before, but he also is taking the rap for Rosie’s sleazy uncle, so it actually is unfair. While he’s in the slammer, he asks Rosie to take car of his car (his baby) and also, by the way, his cell phone. The trouble starts when Rosie finds out why she has the phone—to act as taxi driver for several senior citizens around town. Black Taxi is a mystery, full of twists and turns and false endings. It's fun and witty, capturing the essence of a normal teenage girl.
This book is about a girl who's grandfather goes to jail and she gets to have his mercedes for safe-keeping while he's in the slammer. Only there's a string attached. She has to give various "wrinklies" as she calls them, rides to places that are not always as they seem. When a diamond ring goes missing and she gets mysterious, threatening calls, she has to fi

Fast-paced and riveting, dramatic & quirky, full of gossip, & indicative of small town/suburban life. And an authentic teenage female voice which is highly impressive seeing as this was written by a gentleman a bit beyond his teenage years.

this book was over different to me you know. I mean the whole topic and the scenario because of the whole car situation but overall it's an very easy book to read

This was a well written book by a creative and knowledgeable author. He wrote many of the characters into his book with believeable backgrounds and habits. There were a couple moments of disbelief during some pivotal scenes, and those could have been written with a little more sincerity. Taken as a whole, however, it was a creative and well written book.

Black Taxi had an enjoyable story with likeable characters--especially Rosie and Glenda. I did think the mystery and the solution were readily apparent. I wouldn't mind visiting Rosie and Glenda in another story as I did like them.

More of a younger teens book. A mystery behind a fake ring, that is stolen. Black Mercedes is the reason its call 'Black Taxi'. Not really a moral behind the book, just a fun plot and good storyline.
