Bossy Kiya (Jakiya)
The main character in this story was A.J and mostly this story took place at school. In this story A.J wanted to always to be rewarded when he did something correct. A skateboarding principal offers unusual incentives to his students to motivate them to learn more. I enjoyed the book it was very interesting. Mr. Klutz is nuts is about a principal that does crazy things. I liked this book because it made me laugh. My favorite part was when the principal slipped on the pencil and the next day he h ...more
This story is about a boy named A.J which goes to school with his friends named Emily, Michael, Ryan, and Andrea who go to a school that has a principal that’s named Mr.Klutz who I think is nuts. My opinion is that Mr. Klutz is nuts because he kissed a pig. My evidence is on page 59 which says When he bent over and kissed the pig on the lips the school went crazy. The person who should read this is my sister, she is 5 years old and in kindergarten. The reason why she read this book is because sh ...more

This second foray into the Weird School Curriculum has AJ trying to help--yes, HELP!--his own principal, who has threatened to jump off the school house roof unless the kids perform the impossible--1000000 math equations from the entire class in one month! This does not "add up" and has caused "long divisions" with AJ and his friends. Then Brainy Andrea comes up with the idea to save the principal from himself. (Why must it be the girl who saves the guy? LOL, sorry, ladies.) Or is it a plot for ...more

Mr.Klutz got down, he fell face first on the grown then Mr.Klutz ask A.J. to take a sit. Then Mr.Klutz ask A.J what happen so A.J said that Miss Daisy told him that was the last straw then A.J said he did not know what miss daisy was talking ab ...more

J Short Chapter Gutman

A great follow-up to book #1 in this funny series! In this story, once again main character A.J. continues to hate school and finds himself in trouble. when he gets sent to the principal's office, principal Mr. Klutz decides A.J. needs an incentive to do better in school and gives him a chocolate bar. A.J. doesn't quite "get" the lesson and tells his friends that if they too get sent to Mr. Klutz's office, they can have a chocolate bar, because he has a whole drawer full of

This series is incredibly formulaic, not that I expected much more from it. Kids like repetition, they like things with which they are already familiar. But where the first book was sometimes funny and frequently educational, Mr. Klutz is Nuts! seemed trite. Using a basic formula to outline a book is fine with me, I read plenty of formulaic series and genres. But replace 'Mr. Klutz' with 'Miss Daisy' and it could almost be the same book. Again, Mr. Klutz offers them a reward for reaching a goal ...more
A.J. doesn't like school and will do just about anything to get out of homework. In fact, he doesn't do it, at all. When Ms. Daisy gets fed up, she sends A.J. to the principal's office. A.J. is expecting the worst...but, Principal Klutz offers him a candy bar with the expectation that he will turn in his current events homework! Mr. Klutz is Nuts!. Soon, all the kids try to get in trouble just to get sent to the principal's office.

Then, Mr. Klutz challenges the kids to spelling contests, essay
I read the book "Mr.Klutz is Nuts"from the My weird school section. The Author and illustrator of the book is Dan Gutman and Jim Paillot.I don't really like this book, because it is too easy for me. Secondly, i hardly learn one word or a piece of information from this book except for when Mr.Klutz told A.J that sometimes people like teachers, parents or even principle would give some candy for a reward if you do good, but i already know that!!! However Mr.Klutz had gone nuts because he is doing ...more

This is a fun story in the My Weird School series by Dan Gutman and Jim Paillot. I love that the principal is willing to go to great lengths to inspire the students and give them incentives to succeed in school.

We find these books to be quite humorous and we are slowly working our way through this series before we move on to the next one, My Weird School Daze. This was a quick and entertaining read and we are looking forward to the next book, Mrs. Roopy Is Loopy!
Book #2 assigned to me by my students to read. Cute. OK...I actually laughed pretty hard over the whole tack-on-the-teachers-seat scene. Hope my kiddos never try that one! Reminds me of when my brother attached an "emergency exit" sign to his teacher's butt and got sent to the principal's office. I wonder what they will pick for me to read next?
We stopped reading it. the kids complained of hating school and teachers are dumb and such. He whined a bit and such. It wasn't funny and I get tired of kids books every adults are dumb and kids are smart mouths and think they know better. It might not bother other people, but I don't read it to my kids if it is like that at all.
Just okay. I don't like how the principal comes off as a goof. I think adult characters, especially those in authority, should be shown respect by authors. It's becoming a very bad trend in children's literature to make "funny" books about kids making fun of parents and teachers. And these are the kinds of books we are giving our reluctant readers with the argument of "whatever gets them to read." I don't buy into that philosophy. All our kids deserve good, quality literature and there are plent ...more

I Learn That Some teachers and princebles are not mean some them are nice and helpful.Like my old princeble at smothers. That princeple was mean.I dont know why she just was.i think she was mean because she want us to know that she dont play. That she want us to get our work done and not play with her.But one day she walk in the school with a smile on her face and speaking to everybody.I was happy then she change. It was almost time for kids to go home and then she said if everybody dont bring in t ...more

Mr Kluts was like a big kid, he liked to do fun things like ride his skate board, online skates or his scooter. He didn't act like grown ups. Mr. Kluts was the principal that made learning fun for his students. He would chanllege his students to do things like read a million books or do a million math problems and when they did it they could have parties or turn the gym into a arcade. The students thought Mr.Kluts was nuts but he was only getting them to learn in a fun way even if it took hurtin ...more

Recommends it for: Second grade teachers, parents of second graders, struggling readers, librarians
This series is a must-have for elementary school libraries and all second grade classrooms. Mr. Klutz, the beloved principal, just may kill himself with all of his crazy incentives for reading, spelling, doing math problems, and anything else he can think of. He's climbing the flagpole, kissing pigs, and even threatening to jump off the school building with a bungee cord! SOMETHING has to be done!

A.J., our narrator, speaks like the average second grade boy: "After water sliding, eating all that
Great book weird and weirder mr klutz is totally knuts I mean white kind of a person high dives from the roof and kisses a pig
It is what it is. Silly and easy to read. Not my favorite series but I get why kids dig it.
خود ه کتاب ه یک م نبود ولی خب شبنم برام خریده بودش! و کلی دوس داشتنی بود خوندتش! :)
This book didn't do anything for me! I rated it three stars only because it did make my boys laugh on occassion while I read it to them out loud at night.

What I, as an adult, sensed here, was an author trying to be funny and clever, but not quite succeeding. Too many times as I read I was waiting for a line that was funny, or a moment that was poignant, but rarely did I get it.

This is the sort of book that one reads because it looks like it might be interesting, but you never go back to it. Havi

I thought this was a absolutely fantastic book.I think Mr.Klutz is really weird. He kept giving rewards and doing totally dangerous things. If the school principle at my school will throw a chocolate party, if we did work to the extreme. I will work every chance I get. Even though my schedule is very busy, I can squeeze it in. I believe this book will be great to read as a class book or an individual. It is a very amazing and interesting story. if you like unexpected things you will this book. ...more
Mr. Klutz is not your normal school principal. To help encourage learning in his school, he skateboards, gets run up the flagpole, he kisses a pig! After he volunteers to jump off the school roof to promote reading, the students begin to wonder about Mr. Klutz- if he continues these crazy stunts, someone may end up hurt!

This is a fun book (and series) that flips the idea of authority on its head. Many schools have had principals do crazy stuff to encourage students, so I think many kids would id
A perfect introduction of series chapter books for students ready to move from picture books to chapter books. The characters are silly, the kids are fun, and the lesson in nice and perfect for younger elementary school students. Kids who love The Black Lagoon series will enjoy this next step; fans of the My Weird School books will enjoy Sideways Stories From Wayside School.
This is a very fun series and my 7 year old and I are really enjoying it.

I just finish Mr.Klutz is nuts. I would recommend this book because it teaches that even adults make bad decisions. Thats why its important for kids know right from wrong. Let me share a few high lights from the book. I liked how Mr Klutz was a very nice principal. I hope the principal at my new school is just as cool but not as crazy. My favorite part of this book is that Mr. Klutz came up with incentives to help the kids learn.I hope my new school has incentives. "LOL" :)
