I actually first saw “Max’s Christmas” on a video from Weston Woods and from then on, I was so intrigued by this story! “Max’s Christmas” is a cute children’s book by Rosemary Wells and it is about how Max tries to see Santa Claus for the first time! “Max’s Christmas” is a truly wonderful story that children can easily read for Christmas!

When Max’s sister Ruby tells Max that Santa Claus is coming to their house, Max keeps asking Ruby about who Santa Claus is and can he see him, although Ruby tel...more

Cute Christmas story starring our favorite little sibling bunnies, Max and Ruby. Ruby is as bossy as ever and Max is just as determined to get his own way. Our youngest loves this series and I was very excited that she was able to read this whole book to me today. I love it when she is willing to try her reading skills out on new books and it doesn't hurt when it features some of her favorite characters.

This book is small (about 7x7 inches) but good with story time. Max is full of questions about Christmas. Why? Why not? His older sister Ruby patiently explains but Max doesn't believe a word she says and doesn't consider "because" an answer.

The story time crowd can relate to Max. You will have their rapt attention as you share this.

While I don't love this one as much as Max's Chocolate Chicken, it's still pretty fun holiday reading for littlest readers. I think I like Chocolate Chicken better because of Max's delicious rebellion against bossy big sister, Ruby. As the youngest of 4 girls, I identify with Max a little bit. :)

My son has enjoyed some Max and Ruby books, so I thought this would be a good one to start into Christmas familiarization. It's an OK story about how Max is curious about Santa, but nothing real exciting, funny or fun about it, I guess. We'll see if it gets requested again.

This is a good holiday book to read if it is near Christmas time. It is a good book to read to the students when you are on the topic of questions. The boy in the story asks many questions, so it could lead to your topic of questions and question marks.

We heard this at story time. Maybe I'd like it better if I read it myself, since I found Max's Dragon Shirt pleasurable to read, but didn't care much for the illustrations or plot. As is, though, I don't have a very favorable impression.

We took out two Max and Ruby Christmas books and I liked this one much better. This is more of a story that Wells would write versus one based off the TV show. I liked how Max uses all the questioning words and also the jokes using "because." It was also fun that Max got to meet Santa.

I love all the Max and Ruby books because I love Max. He is a wonderful character. In this book Max stays up late and tries to sneak a peek at Santa.

One of our favorite Christmas stories. My family has it in French that we read every year.

This was a cute story about Christmas, and when talking to my students about Christmas I could easily use this book. I also thought it had a fun story and cute pictures.

Probably not the finest Max and Ruby book we've ever read, but certainly a good choice for a Christmas themed pre-school/kindergarten aged read.

My son really likes this book. He likes books about Christmas and Santa Claus. It's a great Rosemary Wells book for younger children, the text is short and the drawings compliment the story.
