I have only read a few Stephen King books, but it'll be hard to ever trump this one! Very well crafted horror story. The atmosphere starts creepy and stays that way. One's feelings about the family pet will gain a spooky edge after reading this. I am impressed with King's writing, and if he were a less prolific writer this book would stand out as a modern classic.

pet semetary was a really good book. it was kind of sad when the cat got ran over and the little girl had to hear it from her mom and dad. its one of stephen kings good horror books and it also is a good movie

Had some creepiness, but I get pretty weary of Stephen King's style with its rambling--there are some brackets that run for half a page or more before you get back to the sentence, & by then you've forgotten the first part. Plus, he's too fascinated with male genitalia. (Example: when climbing a spiky fence at night, or otherwise in mortal peril, you're not worried about breaking a leg or skewering a lung; apparently, your main fear is of damaging your gonads, and you must contemplate this possi

First of all, it might just be me, or my lack of understanding in the general genre thereof, but I didn't find anything particularly scary about any of this novel. Loaded with unnecessary sexual content and profanity which hardly added to any of my enjoyment (though I am bound to encounter it now and then), King could have spent more of his time perfecting the passages which were meant to scare his readers the most. I should have had nightmares, or been afraid to sleep without the light on, thou

the only thing keeping me from making this a 5 star read is the fact that there is some meaningless ramblings between huge keypoints in the book that take away from the dramatic build up.
However, that being said- WOW.
Not only did this book take turns and twists that I did not see coming, but it left me with gruesome images that sent chills down my spine and will probably haunt my dreams for a bit.

Has a little more 'Angst' than most King efforts... captures that part of grieving where you negotiate with The Universe that you would give 'anything' to get a lost loved one back.

I liked it very much...a Stephen King classic wonderfully spoken. I had the feeling as if I was part of the little town, so lively did the story become because of these talented speakers. This audio book makes you dive into a really creepy and dark world.

I listened to this on our trip from Virginia to New Mexico. I wouldn't have picked it up to read in hard copy, but this was a good way to kill time on the 5 day trip. It was a horror, but it kept me engaged. Sarah was watching a movie or sleeping when I listened. :)

The second King novel I ever read. It kept me reading, but then again I was 13. It's really not one of his strongest, but King fans shouldn't skip it, either.
