Excellent! Roger Miller is a hero to me and it was a pleasure to read Ain't Got No Cigarettes. When I was a kid, the music from Disney's Robin Hood really grabbed my attention and hearing that same voice when I discovered incredible songs like "Dang Me" and "Chug-A-Lug" cemented my love for Miller's songs and especially lyrics. It's sort of nuts that no one has written a book about Roger Miller yet. Although this is done in a series of oral interviews, it's not set up in the (awesome, topic-based) oral history style of books such as, say, "Please Kill Me" or "Live From New York." That might have been a better way to go about it -- but this is still an interesting read.

Roger Miller deserves a well written and researched biography, this book is just a collection of reminiscences from former friends and assoicates, that too often dwells on partying rather than making music. Its okay and its the only thing out there at the moment but a genius like Roger Miller deserves much much more.

A lot of the interviews fall flat and don't even talk about Roger. Lame.
