What can I say about the Kissed By an Angel trilogy... hhmmmm. The first book was alright. I wish that Ms. Chandler would have played up the romance between Ivy and Tristan a little more. It was really hard to feel the emmotion of the characters. But I cannot complain too much on the subject because, once I started reading the second book, I was hooked and couldn't put my kindle down. I am a big fan of mystery, and the second and third books definitely have alot of it.

This is one of the first books I added to-read when I joined Goodreads in February 2011.

This book is an omnibus of the first three books in the Kissed By An Angel series: Kissed By An Angel; The Power of Love; and Soulmates.

I rate Kissed By An Angel 2 stars, The Power of Love 2 stars, and Soulmates 4 stars. By the law of averages that makes this omnibus a 2.5 rating. Although there are no distinct markings to direct where one book ends, it's very obvious when you start a ...more

I think the book was written by an amateur It didn't make sense half the time. It didn't describe things well. The grammar wasn't very good. It was hard to distinct what was said out loud and what was said inside the persons head with the same font as everything else and parenthesis around them just like they're normal statments. The author would say one thing then say something completely different later on in the story. For example, In the beginning as far as I understood she had just move th...more

True love is hard to find and even harder to hold onto. Ivy knows this, that’s why when her boyfriend Tristan dies, she is so devastated. Her life just seems too empty with her mother’s remarriage, her eerily spacious new home, and most of all, Tristan’s absence. But what she doesn’t know since she lost her faith in angels is that Tristan is still with her—in the form of a guardian angel. They must find a way to work together, especially when sinister occurrences keep happening closer and closer...more

Judged by a Cover: I like it

It's a rose. And a rose is my favorite flower (yes I know, a rose. Just like every other girl on the planet.) I think that's what caught by eye in the bookstore. It's different. But not to different. It's unique. There's the word I was looking for. Unique.

What's up?

(This one book has three individual books in it. And I have already reveiwed the fourth book in this series {Evercrossed}. So since it has three books in it, I'm just go...more

So I'm not gonna lie, I bought this book for the cover artwork! It was a little bit reminiscent of Twilight, so I couldn't resist. However, I ended up reallllyyyy loving it! I would've given it 4 1/2 star if I could. The first part of the book started of a little (okay a lot!) corny, and definitely felt like the young adult readers it was categorized for. The whole Tristan and Ivy love story was a tad rushed and overdone, making it feel a little like a Harlequin novel, but once you got past that...more

Elizabeth Chandler did a great job with the love, mystery, and paranormal in Kissed by an Angel. I loved Tristan's presence as an angel, I thought it was very creative and enticing; I kept reading to see if he would finally break through the barriers of life and death to reveal who murdered him. I, like many others, wish I could have had more of a relationship develop between Tristan and Ivy, but their connection is built stronger in the second and third books when they are desperately trying to...more

The books were short and simple to read. I finished all three in a day and a half, and while the writing was confusing at times, the book wasn't horrible. I was left confused sometimes, the chapters were choppy and jumped all around. Ivy, the main character, would be in once place and then in the next paragraph it would be weeks later. So the transition lacked, and the author did a terrible job describing what the hell was going on at first, but once you get past all of that and you figure out ...more

WOW!!!!!!! I loved the book. I am so glad that I stumbled upon it. No one told me about it, I didn't even know that it existed. It was wonderful. I was at the store looking for another great book to read after having finished the Twilight saga. It made me cry (literally tears rolling down my cheeks!) I would have to hide my face to prevent my husband from seeing me. It made me feel like a teenager again (hey, it wasn't that long for me Im only 27, but still you tend to forget those adventures wi...more

Chandlers story is heart felt and well written. The love the characters develop for each other is believable and not very farfetched. There was a simple life quality to the story that made it appealing to me as a reader. There wasn't anything supernatural involved aside from the biggest twist in the story. I only read "Kissed by an Angel" and not the sequels like "The Power of Love" or "Soulmates". I enjoy a romance novel but for me it was a LITTLE too much. There w...more

Review Written by Andrea @ Reading Lark

I didn't read these books when they were first released in 1995, but I have been seeing the collection of all three books throughout bookstores recently. I have picked the book up several times with the intent to buy it, but then put it down in favor of something else. I was hesitant because there are so many angel books out there right now - they seem to be the new vampire - and they don't always appeal to me. I think angels out of all the supern...more

From the first moment Tristan sees Ivy, he knows she's the one for him. He also knows that nothing could keep him away from her, not his shyness, her family, not even death itself. It takes him longer then he would have believed to do it, but eventually, his dream is realized, Ivy has fallen in love with him too. Everything is working perfectly; of course, that's exactly when calamity crashes into them head-on. Pulling Tristan and Ivy apart, possibly forever. But Tristan can't stop trying to get...more

Murphy's
(from Murphy's Library - http://www.murphyslibrary.com/)

I decided to read this book because it was recently released in Brazil and I saw a lot of people talking about it—and I did read just the first book of the trilogy. That been told, I need to say this book broke my heart in a way that I’m not really sure I can stand the second book, but that was totally personal. I lost someone I loved too much and I never told him that, so it was impossible, for me, not think about him for the mom...more

Ivy has always believed in angels. Believed in the fact they they exist, somewhere in this world. When Ivy meets Tristan, she knows the connection they have together is special and is not eager to give it up. So when Tristan dies an unfortunate and unexpected death, all her beliefs that angels are real have disappeared. And because she doesn't believe no more, she can't feel Tristan's presence when he returns. As none other than an angel.

But Ivy's in danger and it's up to Tristan to s...more

The Book Kissed By an Angel by Elizabeth Chandler keeps you on the edge of your seat. IT’s a suspenseful love mystery that leaves you wanting more every time you set it down. IT would fall under the category of Suspense, mystery, love story, fantasy and more. If you enjoy these genres then you will love this book. The more you read, the more impossible it becomes to set it down.

The cover of the book caught my eye with the neon rose filled with wonder but the story inside is what got...more

I read this one right after Marked, which probably explains why I liked it so much, because it is not so original after all, of course.
For me, the most interesting part of Kissed by an Angel was the swimmer-hero. My parents met at the swimming-pool, my husband and me love swimming, so this is not a surprise. I really liked the atmosphere of the pool in the book, how Tristan offers to teach Ivy to swim, how quite a few key events happened in this area of the school. This seems quite special...more

As result of her mother's new marriage, Ivy and her brother Philip are forced to move to the biggest house in Stonehill, with all the wants and needs of life. She had to adjust to a new school halfway through the year, make new friends, and deal with a new, and creepy, if I might add, stepbrother, Gregory. Her true and strong belief in angles, her love for piano, and her cat, Bella, were all she had left of her real home. One the first day of school, Ivy learned about one thing, Tristan. He fell...more

Kissed by an Angel, was basically a book about Ivy and Tristan's love. When Tristan dies Ivy feels as if she doesn't have a life anymore. She also stops believeing in angels. Dead boyfriend=guardian angel. Who doesn't love a little love/death all in one suspenseful BIG book? (This book is a trilogy......or rather in three parts.....I don't feel like they could really stand alone.)

The opening scenes of the book did not inspire me. I quickly concluded that the characters were shallow and unlikeable horny teens.......completely without depth. I pressed on. I wish the author had begun somewhere else and skipped the whole first chapter. Eventually I came emp...more
