Interesting read. Taught me a lot about plaque - there are two kinds, one more dangerous than the other. Also about the "New Cardiology" and recent techniques in assessing/treating cardiovascular disease. These two doctors believe in supplements as well as exercise and eating your vegetables, and medical Rx as necessary for those who need it. A lay person can understand their book. They explain what HDL and LDL do in the bloodstream and how LDL is not a "bad guy" until ...more

If you know someone suffering from Cardiovascular disease, high blood pressure this is Another must read!!! Read this before you go to the Dr. This book is a loaded gun of information that is simple to understand and implement..and will absolutely change your quality of life.
I picked up this book following my husband's heart attack and feel very armed with information for him to take to his next cardiology appointment. I learned a lot, and especially loved this cardiologist's approach to a combination of eastern and western medicine.
