School's Out - Forever (Maximum Ride #2)
by
James Patterson (Goodreads Author)
Fourteen-year-old Maximum Ride and the other members of the "Flock"--Fang, Iggy, Nudge, Gasman and Angel--are just like ordinary kids--only they have wings and can fly. It seems like a dream come true--except that they're being hunted by half-human, half-wolf "Erasers" who can fly, too.

I love the characters, my favorite character was the Gasman because he's really funny and he makes me laugh.
Okay so character-wise it was the best but plot-wise it was okay. So the plot was like a big random mess I don't really get it, and there are parts wherein I wished they edit that out because it seems pointless and the story drag quite a bit.
There's also so many deux-ex-machina that it was really getting into my nerves. What I mean it is not enough that one character get one superpower b...more

This review is for books 1 and 2 in this series. I feel like I learned a lot from these books as a writer. The fact that book one hit number one on the NYT best seller list means to me that the author did something right, because a whole lot of people are enjoying it enough to buy it and probably tell their friends to buy it, too. So when I read books like these and I feel like he broke some major rules in a way that really, really weakened his books, I have to ask myself, so what exactly did he...more

Fang is critically injured on the way to DC by a flying Eraser attack. They have no choice but to go to the hospital, and their secret is discovered. The Flock is questioned by the FBI, and in return for Fang's treatment, Max reluctantly agrees for the Flock to stay with Anne Walker, an agent until Fang recovers. After a few days, Anne enrolls the Flock in a school run by William Pruitt. Fang and Max date people from the school named Lissa and Sam, and Iggy is friends with Tess, another girl. Bu...more
After I read Maximum Ride 1, I couldn't wait to find out what happened to these characters. In the first one, you meet Max (the leader), Fang (like second in command), Iggy (really awesome blind kid), Nudge (sweet hopeful girl), Gazzy (very energetic and loveable), and Angel (youngest but likely the smartest). You meet other characters like Jeb, Ari and some more. This book picked up where the other one left off. They were on their way to DC to finally find their parents. It starts with fang get...more
Maximum Ride = Marvelous Reading
As leader of her Flock, Max is tough and resilient. This bird girl does not give up on her mission to save the world and protect her Flock. She does it all with flair and a sarcastic edge. Despite endless betrayals and growing up in a lab, Max shows that she can have a soft side too.
The members of Max’s Flock are tight and they each have unique talents. Fang can disappear if he sits still long enough. Iggy sees everything in white. Nudge is magnetic. The Gasman is...more

Speravo migliorasse, e invece niente.
Unica sorpresa, Ari....more

Another great book by James Patterson! In this new installment of the Maximum Ride series you find Max escaping with the flock to grassy fields and beachside resorts, with the lovely Erasers bringing grapes and juices. Yeah, what a boring book. Well goodbye.

The book School's Out Forever is about a gang of kids that have been mutated by a group of scientist that makes them become avian hybrids. They try to break free of this group of this scientist. The group is lead by Max, she has a "voice" that keeps implying that she must save the world. She is backed up by Fang,Iggy,Gassy,Angel and Nudge. They must help her on saving the world from Intel the company with these really werid ideas of World Domination.

Schools Out - Forever by James Patterson is a great book to continue the series Maximum Ride. This book is about the flock (because they are avian mutants) Max, the leader, Fang, Iggy, Nudge, Gasman, and Angel. This book is about the flock running into Erasers (wolf-like mutants who are trying to kill them) and Fang gets badly injured. I read the book "School's out-Forever" by James Patterson. I would recommend this book to anyone who is a fan of James Patterson's work, or someone that enjoys reading books that are action-packed. This book left me at the edge of my seat waiting to obtain the knowledge of what happens in the next book in the series. In the book the main characters are Max, Fang, Iggy, Nudge, theGasman, Angel, and their new mutant dog (that talks) named Total. When Fang is injured by an old enemy, the flock is f...more

So when I first read "The Angel Experiment," I was BLOWN AWAY. I just love it. I love science-fiction dystopian type action-packed books and films, so I recommend it to anyone who loves action type stuff, because then it's meant for you to read. But anyways, back to this book. It's GREAT! The angel experiment was so good, this one was even better, which is impressive because most sequels end up being pretty crappy in my opinion, but James Patterson pulled this one off quite very good. What I liked:
-Max. She got some pretty good character development in this book, and I enjoyed her exploring her more “feminine” side, and I especially liked her date with Sam. I also liked her little jealous streak when Fang got kissed by Lissa, and I liked Fang’s equal amount of jealousy towards Sam.
-Iggy. I liked the development with Iggy and his family. It seemed real and not the cheesy expected fairytale ending that I was expecting James Patterson to write. I liked that his parents saw him a...more

Previewing this book for near teen-age boys. I do like the characters and the story line. My boys love books where sarcastic whit is strong in at least one character. Patterson does not fail to provide lots of zinging dialog. The graphic novels led us to these and I was unsure if they were for youth or adults because in our library some of the "Maximum Ride" series is housed in the adult fiction. In one of the graphic novels there were several occurrences of bad language but the rest of the grap...more
I loved this series because it was a story of teenagers... who could fly! This is actually the second book in the series, but I think it is my favorite because now that you've gotten to know the main characters: Max, Fang, Angel, Gazzy (Gasman), Iggy, and Nudge. Max is the leader, although she is practically the same age as Fang (whom she secretly loves) and Iggy (the blind bird-kid). Angel can read minds and is the youngest in the group. Nudge is the second girl in the group. These bird-kids,...more
This book was really good. I love all the characters. But Angel really scares me, even though she's only six... The plot was full of twists (good and bad). First, the Erasers had wings, then Ari comes back to life. Its all Ari's and the white coats fault that Fang was sent to the hospital. Its their fault they went to Anne's. Anne seemed like a great motherly figure, sending the kids to school, taking care of them and their dog (who can talk. I mean seriously, a talking dog? A bit over done.), a...more

The second Maximum Ride novel is just as jaw-dropping as the first! It begins immediately after where The Angel Experiment left off, and it doesn’t take long (maybe one chapter) for action to resume in the story. If one thing can be said of the Maximum Ride series, it’s that there is never a dull moment. I’ve never found myself bored reading these books. The series thrills and entertains. Like a hors...more

My Review: School’s Out Forever picks up pretty much exactly where The Angel Experiment left off and it is once again, very fast-paced and filled with quick, short chapters. I’d like to take a moment and reaffirm my belief that this series is definitely meant for younger teens, even with the amount of violence each book has. The writing style that James Patterson uses is very simple and easy to follow, but just like The Angel Exper...more

After facing the “school” Max and her flock are discovered by FBI agents. Now they must all go to school, you now the place where you learn things such as math and reading? These are things they’ve never needed before so why should they need them now? Of course though when they think they are safe they really aren’t because the erasers are never far behind in fact in this book some chapters are told by Ari who is biologically Jebs son.

The second book of the Maximum Ride series, School's Out-Forever, it continues to follow the story of the six human-avian hybrid kids Max, Fang, Iggy, Nudge, Gassy, and angel. The flock soon begins to attend regular school and finally start to have a normal right, but of course their lives can never be normal. While attending school, they still have run-ins with the Erasers who are also genetically modified but with wolves. The flock tries to stick together to help fight against the school.

Being a bit disappointed by the first Maximum Ride novel, I didn't have much intention of continuing the series. But then we played a game at the library where we drew numbers and had to read the book that had that number sticky-noted to it, and the number I drew corresponded with the first Maximum Ride book. Since I'd already read that one, I got clearance to read this one instead.

School's Out Forever (the second book in James Patterson's Maximum Ride Series) is very entertaining. I found myself reading it whenever possible.
These books hold some violence, but are clean and age appropriate. I've laughed at several of the situations/jokes, and I recommend these books.
As I told a friend, I enjoyed these books, but they are VERY YA, meaning that some of the humor is juvenile and some things are repeated a lot.

My story was about this six bird kids named Max,Fang,Iggy,Nudge,Gasman, and Angel. They are on a mission to find all there parents, but they have trouble along the way. There are these wolf like creatures that can form them self into humans that follow them everywhere they go. they have lots of adventures they have been all over New York and Washington D.C. My favorite character is Max because she the leader of all of them and i like being the leader so shes my favorite.
