There once lived a wizard, a fairy, and a magic chicken. They argued a lot (indeed, they argued through this whole book), but they were very good friends (so the story says). Of course, they keep on arguing even after they learn that trying to outdo each other only results in three scary scary monsters....

This is a humorous story about three magical characters who are always competing. All of their one-upmanship creates a situation that requires cooperation and teamwork. The narrative is short and entertaining and the illustrations are funny. We enjoyed reading this story together.

Great for teaching teamwork. Tells the story of a wizard, a fairy, and a magic chicken who always try to outdo each other. Ultimately they create a bunch of monsters who try to take them down.

A creative tale that teaches children the downfalls of jealousy and that working together is more productive.

This was my favorite book as a child so I found it on half.com and bought it. Re-reading it, the story is fairly simple, but I give it 5 stars for the fact that I still remembered it and remember loving it from when I was 3. Wizard, Fairy, and Magic Chicken? Which young child wouldn't love that?

Who can resist a Magic Chicken with a pickle on his wand? One of our family classics
