Momma bear and the cubs make a trip to the farm for eggs but come across a puppy. Easy words and sentences on the first grade reading level.
Anna
The cubs beg Mama Bear for a puppy when they go to Farmer Bear's. She gives in and they name the dog Little Lady. Mama warns them that a puppy will be a lot of work and the cubs learn that she is right!
Denise
Perfectly illustrating why this Mama steers clear of puppies. A nice short story about pet responsibility for the beginning reader.
