Dense reading, heavy going. The concept of examining one case from many different theoretical and treatment perspectives is great, but the delivery is turgid

This little book is the companion book to the Theory and Practice of Counseling Techniques and Psychotherapy book. It actually gives you practice cases to work on, which was very helpful in helping you to learn how to apply the different psychological theories. I have liked all of Gerald Corey's textbooks, and this one was no exception.

I really like Dr. Corey's approach using a case study to delineate the theories of psychotherapy.

I read an older version. It's helpful to see the different perspectives one right after another and using the same case study.
