Mattie had a remarkable life, and I liked learning about her, and how loved she was by her grandchildren. I'm glad to have made her acquaintance and to have a better appreciation of my life. I think the book could have used a really good editor. If you want to learn about the frontier life of the early twentieth century this is an eye-opener.
