A great little read on the doctrine of justification by faith alone (sola fide) as only Sproul can give it. Thick, makes you think, and gets very deep into doctrine. But, this doctrine - and how the church has stood or fallen with it - goes to the very heart of the Gospel, and the work of Jesus on the cross.
This is a good outline on the doctrine of justification by faith. It is a bit more academic and spends a lot of time historically comparing the Roman Catholic Church and the Reformation (and the Evangelical Church). For a short treatment on Justification by Faith, I think J. V. Fesko’s What is Justification By Faith Alone? is actually easier to read and more clearly written than this short book by Sproul.
