Recommends it for: everyone
Great book--a must read! It gives you a much different picture of the war (which is actually World War IV) than the mainstream media gives you. It gives you a deatiled understanding of how and where the terror network is organized and the many victories we have had working alongside many of the world's nations.

Recommends it for: Anyone who wants to understand the global war on terror
Shelves: war-on-terror
Before reading Shadow War, I wondered, "Where in the global arena are we fighting the war on terror?" This book answers those questions and presents several surprises. Who knew the French and a number of nations in North Africa and the Middle East have assisted us with intelligence on terrorists? Miniter's book is destined to become a classic among military historians.

You don’t have to be a fan of Bush to appreciate the battles won behind the scenes. Many interesting stories on how we got the bad guys when the odds were not in our favor.
