Since reading “Unwritten” I have been waiting for Monica’s next book.
The wait is over and well worth it. ‘Unbecoming’ is a suspense thriller mixed with every day people. David and Caroline think they are finally going to retire to the slower paced life of Western North Carolina.

The pacing in this novel is fast and very satisfying, just like a NCIS or JAG episode. If you like those series, then you'll feel right at home in these books. You can read it as a stand alone, but you'll appreciate it more if you've already consumed Unwritten, the first novel. (I had recently read the first book again and purchased the new paperback version on the author's website because of restored content.)

Caroline and company are off on another adventure, keeping us on the edge of our seats

This is not your stereotypical action romance—in fact, it could be taken from news headlines today. This second novel is as well written and excitingly action packed as her first in the series, Unwritten. You are drawn back into the exciting and peril filled lives of Caroline Blaine and David Reese. I was hooked on the first page and could not put the book down. Monica turns tried and true into new and exciting. There are beautiful dangerous people, terrorists, and double agents. Caroline ...more
