I wish that I could go back in time-- to a point before I read this novel-- and be introduced to this novel once again for the very first time.

This novel was recommended by a co-worker who has similar taste. I had never heard of the novel. I had never heard of the writer either, but I looked both up on Goodreads and discovered that only one other person in the history of this site had ever reviewed this book. well, it was a riveting book to read - I learned a lot about Philippine corruption, AKA politics, but the narrative was very well written - very moving, even though you sometimes knew where you were going.
