This is a well-written and interesting book exploring the extinct fauna and some of the geology of Kansas from when it was part of the Western Interior Sea. It is a little challenging in its use of scientific terminology like the many scientific names of animals and very specific (and for me unfamiliar) terms for periods of time and geologic stratigraphy.
