This book is the epitome of bad writing. I'm somewhat shocked that an editor let this slip through to print in this condition.

Terence Ripmaster is a history professor in New Jersey, and was at one point the president of the New Jersey Jazz there's no arguing that the man doesn't know his stuff. However, knowing a lot, and being able to get that knowledge down on paper in an engaging manner, are two separate talents. This book has absolutely no flow at all. It's just quote after
