Oh, it’s on.
So pretty much the entire volume is constructed around the beginning of Jiraiya’s battle with the exotic pet keeper, the human vacuum, and guy who does nothing (or, to say it with less interest, three of the six puppets of Pein).
I remember watching the anime adaptation of this fight about a year and a half ago, and I honestly couldn’t get enough of Jiraiya’s sennin mode. Honestly, someone could use that nose to pitch a tent. Fortunately, Naruto doesn’t develop th...more

I hate to say it but as more and more of this series comes out, the more and more it feels to just drag on and loose more interest. This vol. seriously made me pause with reading the series because of how boring it was to read.
I've notice that the series has stolen some ideas from other mangas because of how long it has progressed.. one idea being from the series Nabari no Ou. I swear I have never become this bored with a manga like I did with this, nor was I so annoyed before.

I must say it is and it will forever be(fingers crossed) my favorite Manga novel read.
the way Masashi Kishimoto described the characters is just awesome, you get to see them growing up, becoming responsible... powerful...
and it is not just characters,
The plot itself is so much bigger... u simply can't get enough of it. and add to that,
u get more than just entertainment, you learn...

"child o' destiny"?! Why are you pulling out this hoary old cliche after forty volumes? We already know Naruto is important; his name is on the cover. The whole moment of selection thing is giving me bad flashbacks to the Malloreon.
It's never a good sign when people start calling themselves god.

Yes, the whole volume is a fight between Jiraiya and Pain. But it's one hell of a fight. Even after 40 books, Naruto still rocks and the only bad thing about him is that I'm awfully close to painful waiting for a new volume.
Didn't like this battle as much but the story is intriguing. Sad end..
Naruto Shippuden started sucking way before this one.

TBH, this volume bored me. No offense to Jiraiya or anything since I do like him, but it was just boring overall. The ending was good and made me wonder what's going to happen next.. And wow, Pein. O_O

I'm a bit confused about Pain, but I'm hoping that will be cleared up in the next volume. Still interesting to catch a glimpse of Jiraiya's past. B- rating.
semakin hari semakin seru.
