Goldilicious is Victoria Kann's third book in this series. We loved Pinkilicious, but after reading a few Amazon reviews of Purplicious, I thought we'd get this from the library before buying, and I'm glad I did.
Let me start by saying that, once again, the illustrations are fabulous. Really amazing with vibrant colors and quirky angles. It's a pleasure to turn the pages. In this story, the Pinkilicious princess has an imaginary pet unicorn who dances in the Majestic Magenta Ballet. ...more

Okay. Let me just say that I was prejudiced against this book just based on the cover. But, it is on the bestseller list so I was curious...
The idea behind the story is okay--that it is fun to have an imaginary friend. It's very girly with princess dresses and a unicorn names Goldilicious wearing rose garlands--so it might appeal to girly-girl types. But the story is told in the most boring and rambling manner. And the little girl is SO annoying, she and her brother have typical...more

These books about Pinkilicious just keep coming...but unfortunately the first in the series is by far the best. She just needs to stop while she is ahead. This one is better than Purplicious but still lacks the originality and fun of the original. Hannah loves all the fancy pink stuff...tutus, dancing skirts, tea parties, etc. and you can't go wrong with a fancy unicorn. But as a parent, it is dull to read and the writing is a little choppy.

Goldilcious is the third book in Victoria Kahn's picture book series about pink-loving Pinkalicious, a spirited girl who loves the color pink. Pinkalicious The title captures the same whimsy present in the first book (Pinkalicious) that I felt was lost in the second installment, Purplicious. The art, once again, is beautiful, girly, and most of all, pink! The storybook world of unicorns, princesses, and more come across in pastels very well.

This skates on the edge of saccharine. And I somehow doubt that a kid in a princess dress with an imaginary unicorn has been exposed to anything deep enough for her to use the phrase "One with the universie".
But,I like the creativity of Pink's mind.I like the way her brother joins in her imaginary play the way boys will and how she readily adjusts her game to suit him. And of course pink, princess clothes and unicorns will be perfect for all the little Haileys and Madisons ...more

This book was definitely better than Pinkalicious and Purplicious. The little girl uses her imagination in this book. I do not like the way she responds to her parents at the end. Yes, it is a normal response for a child, but when I read my daughter a book, I'm looking to instill good behavior, good attitude and good manners. True to life books are great for teenagers and adults, but while they are still young and learning, I appreciate books that illustrate good behavior, etc.

In Goldilicious by Elizabeth and Victoria Kann, Pink's brother, Peter finally comes into his own as a character. The title character is an imaginary unicorn that only Pink (and sometimes Peter) can see.
Although Pink wants to play by herself as a princess with a magical unicorn but little brother Peter wants to play too.
It's fun to see how Goldilicious changes over the course of a day of Pink and Peter playing. She goes from just being invisible to being able to roller ska...more

I like these books (three in a series) well enough, but what matters to me is that my daughter LOVES them.
Attn: Victoria Kann
My daughter is looking out for 'Blueilicious' next year. You may want to get started.
Cute illustrations. Always nice to see a cohesive family in books for kids. Pinkalicious (the character) is a lot of fun.

Claudia and I both thought the book was ok, honestly anything is better than purplicious. This time she has an invisible horse named goldilicious who she calls goldie for short, they go on adventures that mainly take place outside. Honestly I thought the book deserved two stars but Claudia thought it deserved three (I asked her).

I gave this to my daughter for Christmas to complete the series. It has the same fun illustrations as the other two books before it and is entertaining enough. However, I found the text and story didn't flow as well as the previous two books that the author/illustrator wrote with her sister.

Pinkilicious in back with a magical imaginary friend Goldilicious Goldie for short. She is everything a little girl could want in a unicorn best friend. As always fun illustrations. An easily memorized story for all little girls. Especially if they love horses.

I thought this one was cute. Better than Purplicious, but not quite as enjoyable as Pinkalicious. The illustrations were beautiful, and I love that Pinkalicious and Peter used their imaginations to have fun together.

Surprisingly, I didn't hate this girly girly silliness. It's really about a brother and sister playing make believe, kind of like Once Upon a Cool Motorcycle Dude, but here the girly flavor is totally dominant.

My daughters love this, and I cringe having to read it. I enjoy the illustrations well enough, but the story is wordy and not easy for a young child to fully understand the nuances.

Bright mainly pink illustrations will be loved by girls. Fun story about using your imagination. Ending is rushed and does not carry the theme as well.

Another fun adventure with Pinkalicious. The Pinkalicious book is still the "go to" book at bedtime, but Goldilicous provides some nice variety once in a while. And...it is about a unicorn. Need I say more?

Would work well with a Let's Pretend Storytime, or Creature Feature, or Princesses, or Pink! If you love the color pink you will love this story!

We LOVE Pinkalicious and Purplicous in our house. Kate still likes this one, but I don't think it's nearly as good as the others.

This was a very disapointing sequel to the pinkilicious and purplicious. It has none of the originality or humor of the first two.

My youngest loved this book. She loved the 'pony' and trying to find it when she was hiding. Very cute book.
