Just when you least expect it...the find of a lifetime! One fossil hunter who was killing time, waiting on her team to return from fixing a flat tire, fulfilled a wish to check another area. She followed the basic rules of looking for bone fragments down on the ground before looking-up. Her attention to detail resulted in the find of the best t. Rex specimen ever discovered. This fossil was named in honor of the lady who made the discovery. I have been to the field museum in Chicago to see Sue! ...more

In 2010, my family and I visited Field Museum and Sue. I got excited when we discovered this book at the library. It was interesting to learn more about the dinosaur we visited some years back at the museum.

I love this book! So interesting. Before reading it, I didn't know anything about the most complete T-Rex fossils ever found. The book describes how Susan, a scientist, happens to find these fossils. Even more interesting is the struggle as the court system decides who actually OWNS the fossils. The scientist that discovered them, or the person who owns the land they were discovered on? Very interesting stuff.
