This book was a wonderful story. There was so much that you could get from it. There was happiness, horror, and laughter all mixed in. Also some sadness. The creepiness of the story brought among the main suspense of the story along with the mystery of the new characters and new conflicts. Deep and Dark and Dangerous was a satisfying ghost story that I think readers will enjoy. It was a quick, suspenseful read through most of it and only began to drag in the final chapters.

I bought this at Goodwill because it was so cheap and I love ghost stories! I read it during a thunderstorm which added suspense to an already suspenseful book. It was written for, at least this is what is says on amazon, 6-8 year-olds, but I thought it was a great read for someone at least ten years older than the age group. I read the book Deep and Dark and Dangerous by Mary Downing Hahn. This is a mystery book, I didn't really like it because it wasn't really a good mystery you knew what it was leading up to. This book didn't leave me hanging our guess what was going to happen. I think this book was pretty pointless. I would have to give it a 3 out of 5 stars.
