This book is written by father and son team, Stephen and David Olford. Both are ardent supports of proper preaching. Both have phenomenal careers that honour God. They have the expertise to specialize in this subject.

The book itself is attractive and clearly laid out. The information segues nicely and is written in a winsome manner that should appeal to the reader. The biblical references used are legitimate and adequately explained. Further, the book is comprehensive, covering the role of the

Stephen F. Olford and his son, David L. Olford, did a very good job creating this book that I would call more of an encyclopedia of helps for anyone that feels called to preach the Word of God. This book is broken out into three parts that cover the preacher and his walk, then his efforts as they related to the sermon, followed by the actual delivery of the sermon. Shelves: preaching
The magnum opus of Stephen Olford, founder of the "Stephen Olford Center" on preaching, Anointed Expository Preaching is an exhaustive work on the preacher and preaching. Olford covers the man God uses, the preparation of the message, and the work of preaching in great detail... and while using a ton of alliteration! There is not a lot of new content, but content that is saturated in the Word of God. Very helpful!
