My mom is on a gluten-free diet. She's been having health issues lately so I end up cooking a lot.
This is great for simple, off the shelf main dishes and deserts.
Stuff my dad and I both like, and we barely notice the equivalent rice flour or other substitutions.
Only reason I don't give it 5 stars is because the author has her own recipes for baking flour and crust n stuff... and then just says "use baking oat flour recipe A at the beginning of the book" instead of s...more

This was one of my first gluten free cookbooks and I love it. It has easy, healthy, and most importantly, tasty recipes. I have to admit that some of the ingredients are beyond what I can find in my local area but nothing can stop me from dreaming about the goodies found within these pages. Also, since gluten free foods tend to be a little less healthy because of all of the replacements, these dishes are a great break from the over-processed gluten free meals found in the freezer section.
Yes I am making the change to a Gluten free life...this is a good starter
Helpful and practical for those trying to learn this new lifestyle.
