3.5 stars, based on my recollection from reading this book in the 1970's (and re-reading).

The book starts with the personnel manager for a major airline, who is about to interview Dudney Devlin for a job as a pilot. Devlin's resume is very impressive. But it doesn't mention that Dudney is female...

This book is certainly a product of its time - so many things made me cringe, especially the sexist and racist comments that are written as though they are progressive (and possibly were for mainstream America of the early 1970s). In that way, it's a interesting look into a time I don't know too much about.

Por momentos tantos términos absolutamente aéreos llegan a confundir, incluso a cansar; así como también hay momentos en que la historia de Devlin comienza a chocar por su melosidad, pero permanece en el libro una disfrazada melancolía hasta el final del mismo.
