Recommends it for: anybody who wants a quick overview of Naomi Klein's Shock Doctrine
This was another one of those books that I felt was a great idea, but didn't quite work for me. There are wide range of essays, from the academic to the political to the personal, and some photography and poetry. A couple of the essays (Howard Zinn and Naomi Klein) I had read in other places, and the rest were good, but didn't inflame my passions the way the subject usually does. Lynsey Addario is an American photojournalist who regularly photographs for The New York Times, National Geographic, and Time Magazine.
