I bought this book for the $2 cover price years ago in Cincinnati at the New World Bookshop, in Clifton. I lived around the corner in an old, high-ceilinged apartment. One day at the shop, Polly Burnell gave me a spare copy of the SPD catalog, and I spent rapt evenings browsing through the pages, trying to narrow down the choices that my budget would allow. (This, Charlie, is what we did before the Internet.)

But to the poems: Minimalist, yes, but fittingly terse, with a wry, nuanced More...
