Funny and charming little book! It amusingly describes the different things you can do with your pet monster (Frankenstein, vampires, werewolves, and mummies are covered) on the holidays. For example, you can let your mummy wrap Christmas gifts, or watch Fourth of July fireworks with your Frankenstein monster (you get a great view from his shoulders.) The text is cute and amusing, but I especially like the illustrations, which are cartoony and quite funny.
I loved this book so much as a child. It is well-written. So well-written, in fact, that I actually believed on some level that I could have a pet monster. It is funny, the illustrations are adorable, and I am delighted to have found my own copy for a nickel.
