After Dulce convinces Joe that he should join the pet-a-pet program, Joe's interest gets peaked. Why is a 12 year old trying to find a patient in the nursing wing. I always have a problem getting involved in this series. I know cats hunt and eat rabbits; but I don't like all the details. About half way through I get really involved and ending up really enjoying the mystery. I wish I knew a little more about the cat's human roommate.

At the beginning of each of these I think "why am I reading this?" Then about 1/3 of the way through I get hooked. After that I can't put it down. I know Joe is supposed to be the star of the series but I love Dulcie.
