If you currently use Twitter and are familiar with it, I would not recommend reading this book. I can definitely see how new Twitter users would appreciate some of the information in this book. Here are a couple of problems with the book. The cover talks about how Twitter is changing the way we do business but it didn't talk about that in depth. This more of a Twitter how-to or best practices book. The first 2 chapters seem like a waste. Particularly, why should I care about Twitter? If s...more
Twitter is a microblogging platform of 140 characters per tweet that is incredibly simple.
The Twitter Revolution gives you a complete start to finish on how to use it. Giving you the tools both in the book and the applications mentioned to take advantage of twitter is and what it can do for you.
The Chapter "ten steps to attract a flood of followers" totally Rocks! Now follow this: If you don't have followers, you're going to be having very lonely conversations.

If you know nothing about Twitter and what it can do for your business, this is a good overview. You'll learn the basics as well as how NOT to make a fool out of yourself! Lots of good information. My only complaint is that it's already dated -- many new services we rely on (like Hootsuite) are not mentioned, while some of the others are obsolete. That's going to be the case with any book about such rapidly changing space.

Twitter Revolution came to me at exactly the right time. I was ready to start using Twitter to grow my network and didn't know where to begin. The book gave me step-by-step instructions on how to begin using the tool and the do's and don'ts of twitter etiquette. It's a perfect book for anyone looking to join the twitter revolution!

I pretty much skimmed through the chapters, hoping to learn something I didn't already know from Twitter but since I have been using Twitter for awhile (and love it and even closed FB act as I prefer Twitter over it) it was all review. However, if you are curious what Twitter is and what all the hype is you may enjoy this book. It does explain it well in a very elementary and understanding way.
This one definitely could have been worse. Although like a lot of other social media books it barely scratches the surface there were some interesting things in here. I did particularly like the section on education. :) It is going to be great though when someone writes a book that actually dissects how Twitter is changing the world.
As an author, I have to admit that the best parts of this book come from the leading participants on Twitter. In the end, Twitter and all social media is about the people.. who you meet, the relationships you build, and the success you get out of the meaningful connections you have in life
Great early book on the Twitter phenominum. What Twitter is about. How to use it and many tips and secrets. A good read for someone new to Twitter of social media.
The best book I have read on how to get started, how to use and succeed with Twitter. Lots of great examples, stories and ideas.
Twitter Revolution is a primer for Twitter. The advice in the book is actually really good but the links and screen shots are starting to get stale. It's not the author's fault, Twitter just moves too fast. Still, if you're interest in Twitter, you won't go wrong with Twitter Revolution.
I don't even have twitter, but I'm now a near convert. Twitter is going to be next big networking thing...just you wait.
Pretty good. A little outdated, but mostly just common sense.
Good overview.
