his book started out slow for the first chapter, then it picked back up again, then it went down hill again. There were many times I was going to close the book and be done with it, but I ended up finishing it. This is the fourth book in the A-list series. I was told that you didn't need to read them in order and the way the book was written I believe that.
A problem I had with the book was the celebrities popping up all over. I know this is an A-list book directed towards celeb city but just the...more

To be honest, I would not recommend this book because it did not have much of a conflict. All the conflicts were extremely boring and completely a "first world problem". The whole book was way too descriptive. Being descriptive is definitely a good thing, but details that were not necessary were added into the scene. It really stretched out everything and it made the book a complete snooze-fest. It was about 4 rich girls who have relationship/slight family issues. They all find new boyfriends wh...more

This is the first book I read in the series. It was an okay read.

The Pros
I loved the sneak peek into the glamorous lives that the protagonists led, the complications and the inner demons they battled with daily. I was also glad that Cammie, from which I originally thought was a two-dimensional character, actually turned out to be somewhat good. I was also interested in the lives of people in Los Angeles, specifically in Beverly Hills, considering I just migrated to Los Angeles myself. I also lov...more

Tall Cool One is the story of Anna Percy’s fabulous, yet not so fabulous life in Beverly Hills. Anna finds herself thinking about the meaning of casual sex as she finds everyone around her experimenting with this trend. Anna herself is inexperienced and has only been in love once, with her ex-boyfriend Ben, a student at Princeton. She begins to wonder if something is wrong with her as her friend/enemy, the gorgeous Cammie Sheppard, starts hooking up with Anna's ex, Adam. Although Anna was the on...more

How I Came To Read This Book: Danielle lent it to me.

Have you ever wanted to live the life of the rich and beautiful?? Zoey Dean does a great job of making you feel like one. “ ‘ Rich Americans! From Beverly Hills, California;’ shouted Sam in English. ‘ My father is Jackson Shape. The famous actor! (Dean 266) ’” That’s the line Samantha Sharpe always uses to get out of a tight situat...more

Having actually enjoyed the third A-List book, I was excited to read this one. Had this series actually turned a corner? Unfortunately, no. This book, while getting props for being randomly named after a horrible Robert Plant solo hit from the '80s, was terrible. It picked up exactly zero of the plot from the last one that was exciting, and in fact acted as if some of those things (specifically Cammie getting a stepsister with no explanation of her origins and the same character getting severely...more

This was actually the first book I read in the series. I had no idea it was number four and when I read it (quiet a number of years ago now) I remember thinking once I found out it was part of a series that it was easy to follow along in the story because it re-introduced a lot of the plot from the previous three. I loved this series way more than Gossip Girl.

it was ok. this is the 4th book in the A-list series and it has taken me these four books to realize just how superficial this series is. its just annoying now and there "problems" are soo stupid in the first half of the book. It's not until they get to the resort that its starts dealing with more relatable issues.
idk if i'm gonna read the next books...

A horrible book. I actually enjoy the first book, but to be honest this book went downhill. I'm gonna not gonna bother reading the next one for awhile. So yeah.

I think this was one of the best books. I loved the vacation part. It seemed absolutely amazing :) The ending was kind of corny but you have to love Eduardo.

When things start to be stressful, you got to get away for a while. A good read for the young ones who wish to have an escapade they won't forget :)

Anna is becoming less WASP and more wild Hollywood girl and I like that but this book kind of dragged. Sam is also getting more uncomfortable with her stepmother and more comfortable with her body.

This book is about a teenage highschool girl living the rich life in Beverly Hills California. She moved there from Upper East side of New York. The main character Anna has 3 Friends. Sam and Anna decide they need a get away so they run away to a highclass resort in Mexico. Sams step mom is pregnat and she is favoring and spending alot of time with Sams friend Dee. Hahaha! Loved the part when they drink the mescal and then break into the rich dudes house! SO AMAZING! I was telling my mom about that part and she goes, "So, these are the kinds of books I spend my money on?!" I just said, "No, mom. You didn't WASTE any of your money. 1. They are pretty good books, and 2. They are Steph's." Hehehe.

This book is a good follow up to the the third a-list book Blonde Ambition. This book is slower paced in the begginning but ounce it gets interesting it is a fairly good book. In order to understand this book and get the best affect you should read the first three a-list books, the a-list, girls on film, and blonde ambition.
