I've always liked jazz, but never really knew enough about it as an art form. This book starts in 1920 in New Orleans and moves on up through the modern day, covering all genres of jazz and giving mini-bios on the jazz greats. Fascinating book, and it appeals to my OCD-organized side with the chronological timeline. Also a section on women in jazz. A very interesting book for those who want to learn more about the genre.
