recommended to Tracey by: a relative
i got about halfway through the book, but the more i read it, the more difficult it was for me to keep wanting to read it. there are parts of the book that i could definitely understand; racism isn't nearly as defeated as we would like to think it is, and code words are effective in taking any "-ism" underground. however, there are other parts that really were tricky for me to wrap my brain around. from what i've read so far, the book fluctuates between trying to make a point about ...more
