Cool Menthol Woman - haiku and other verse

Haiku and poetry from a lifelong writing junkie and working-class poet on the fringes of Philly.
This volume began as a handwritten booklet of poetry given as a gift for a friend. It's now been polished up a bit and made available here as a collection of 80 poems (68 haiku, 12 in other formats) culled from years of scrawl in notebooks, journals and on websites.

Recommends it for: general readers
Howard Hall's book, although containing some interesting aphorisms in the 5-7-5 form seemingly overused in the west, generally lacks a clear understanding of the "haiku moment" which is the genuine goal of Japanese-style haiku, senryu, monoku, renku, tanka, etc. Hall's book is worth a once read but I doubt I'll be returning to it. Borrow a copy to have a look but save your money for something of better poetic quality.
