I just bought this at a library sale. It looks like one of the greatest books ever published. There is a picture of a masked luchador (Fray Tormenta, if you must know) saying Mass right smack in the center of this book, opposite another luchador with a naked woman in a cape. There is probably no way to do it justice. Look closely at the cover-- that vicious dog is clearly plastic. Holy shit.
A delightful photodocumentary on the real luchadores of Mexico. Although not officially connected, this book provides an in-depth insight to the inspiration behind the movie, Nacho Libre. Over 300 pages of visually stunning photographs that capture the heart and challenges us to reexamine the meaning of humanity.
