I don't leave home without this book. I really like the Restaurant/Fast Food and International Foods sections (very handy if you live in a city like Los Angeles with a big diversity in cuisines). I also like the diabetes discussion section. Very thorough, covers everything from ketchup to all kinds of beer.

This book is extremely helpful for people that try to make healthy choices. Alcoholic beverages and fast food items are listed in the book which is relatively small and easy to carry. Even if you just pick it up to skim at Borders (or wherever) you may just find yourself disgusted the next time you want to order Chicken Selects at McDonald's (5 pc, 635 cal...without sauce). Sick.

This book is awesome! It really opened up my eyes about how bad certain foods were for me. I've lost 20 lbs (so far) by changing my diet and using this book as a reference to choose the foods I eat. Thank you Calorie King!

This is a great little pocket edition that I keep in my purse or in the car for when I eat out. It doesn't have everything, but it definitely makes me feel more confident in my choices.

Ok, this doesn't really count as a 'reading' book but I've probably read the entire thing. I keep it in my purse. Best little food book on the planet.

More than just a calorie reference book. I bought this for my Dad to learn more about diabetes.

This resource forms part of my Interpreter/Translator library. Although not directly related to the practice of translation or interpreting, this book is a must-have for those that work in the medical/healthcare industry in general as it covers an aspect of nutrition and diet: a very common encounter type between providers and patients.
