It's a compulsion. Though I'm no longer a huge fan, I seem unable to NOT read the books at this point. We'll see if that lasts.
I could almost write the same review here that I did for number 14. I'm getting this from the library first. I've enjoyed the last few, but they were double spaced with lots of blank pages. Just not enough substance for me to pre-order, as I used to do.

Finger Lickin' Fifteen is the latest book in the Stephanie Plum series. Personally, I did not feel it was one of the strong points. I felt there were too many separate storylines going on in this book to the point where all organization is lost. I was partially confused with keeping track of all of Stephanie's FTAs, Stanley Chipotle's murderers, and Ranger's robber situation. I also felt that the Chipotle murder (the main case of the novel) was wrapped up a little disjointedly.

Pure fluff, and I LOVE IT!! I laughed the entire 3 1/2 hours it took me to read this. A whole lot of BBQ and Lula is the center of attention in this one after she witnesses a murder and the thugs spend the entire book trying to kill her off. This one is over the top (yes, I know they all are, but this one seems more so than others.).
I don't want the series to end, but how long can Evanovich sustain the Stephanie/Morelli/Ranger triangle before we get sick of it. I'd rather the series...more

This book was lacking all away around. The same plots, there just is no substance. Stephanie needs to be growing, and she just is a mess. I'm sorry Ranger would not put up with that, he would be finding some other company to keep. I was expecting to much from this book, so I was deeply disappointed. Wait for the paperback or check it out at the library.
I can't beleive I'm saying this, but I think I'm getting bored of Stephanie Plum and her dumb antics. How anyone as stupid as she gets not just one, but two wicked hot guys hot on her tail, and solves the crime (sorta) is beyond me. I think the books have become too Lula focused and frankly, almost too slapstick in the humor. I don't think the writing is as tight as it used to be, nor do I feel as if any of the characters have much depth anymore.

This 15th edition of the Stephanie Plum series wasn't up to the previous standards.
It was a cute, beachy quick type read with very little in the way of character development or series plot development.
A great deal of flirting with Ranger while spending time in his bed, though not with him, and heavy Lula plot line.

Like all things in the Stephanie Plum universe, everything and everyone in the Burg runs on routines. Ok, so I just may have grown to like Stephanie Plum after all. This one is number 15 and Stephanie is hunting down a couple of killers who are idiotic, but dangerous. The whole gang is up to their usual antics... Cars get blown up, Stephanie drools over Ranger, and Lula drools over Cluck-in-a-Bucket chicken. In this one, Lula decides that in order to find the murderous duo, she must enter a barbecue cook-off, where the killers a sure to be hanging around.

This is not the best of the Stephanie Plum series, but there were still a few laughs. Several times, though, I just skimmed a section of Lula, Grandma, and Stephanie having the same sort of fractured fairy tale conversation they've had a bunch of times already. As much as I like Stephanie, these books are starting to bother me. They have become so repetitive in their content and format it’s just not as entertaining as it used to be. There may be more involvement with other characters but at the same time, there’s just no growth – with anybody!

1. We KNOW that Ranger always wears black. It makes sense you'd have to say that once per book in case the reader hadn't read the previous ones in the series. However, you don't need to tell us that he wears black 7 times per book. It's annoying, and makes me think you think I'm dumb.
2. Stephanie should be with Joe. Knock it off with this Ranger flirtation crap already.
3. Why is Lula now farting left and right in your books? So weird and unne...more

This is the latest book in the series, and I have to say that it was another hilarious, over-the-top rollercoaster ride in the insane life of Stephanie Plum. Just when I was positive things couldn't get crazier in her life, I read this book.

On my way from El Paso to New York City I accidentally left my kindle in my checked bag. With 15 minutes and a selection of about 15 bestsellers to choose from it came down to either Evanovich or The Lost City of Z. Reasoning that I'd have a better chance of finishing Evanovich on the plane, I chose her. I've always been curious about Stephanie Plum.

When I find the latest Stephanie Plum book on the new book shelf at the local library, I grad it before anyone else can. Reading Finger Lickin' Fifteen, like reading the others in the series, is an experience akin to eating cotton candy with an interesting spice thrown in. In FLF, Evanovich teases us with Stephanie's constant contact with Ranger, the over-the-top, too-good-to-be-true guy who lusts after her, but would never take advantage of her. After Evanovich's lackluster 14th book in the Stephanie Plum series, I was taking my time about picking up the 15th. However, this was just a lot of fun, and I enjoyed catching up with my "old friends" from Trenton, NJ.
