3.5 stars. Good action, suspense, and intrigue. Talented and heroic heroine. Don’t expect romantic relationship development.

Julia and Conrad are CIA agents in Europe. Conrad fakes his death and disappears for 17 months. Julia was in love with him and grieves. Because her life is in danger, her boss Michael brings her in from the field and gives her a job as an analyst at CIA headquarters. He also gives her a new identity. Michael helps her heal, and they fall in love. There is a mole

Flat out, I love this series! Opertion Sheba is a must read for anyone who likes romantic suspense. This book has it all, characters to root for, a returning soul mate, a love triangle and it's a political thriller that gives the reader a peek into the world of the CIA. I am wildly impressed with the author's attention to detail regarding the CIA.

Also impressive is the love triangle. Misty Evans does a brilliant job at dealing with a woman in love with two exceptional men. We know one of these

Recommends it for: People who love intrigue, espionage and a bit of romance.

The Berlin assignment ends tragically and Julia is called back to Langley to recover and change her identity and job. She no longer works the field but is one of the CIA's top terrorist analyst. She is recovering from her last assignment, has settled into her new persona and is even dating her Boss Michael tho they keep their relationship strictly business at w ...more
This was a really great romantic suspense! The characters are super spies, so it is definitely full of suspense. I think they really took the spying to the next level because they have to spy on spies to clear their name and save the entire country and the CIA. Misty Evans did a marvelous job with this book. The characters are some of my favorites! Julia is a phenomenal character! She is very complex and witty, and it's really no wonder why she has a couple of awesome guys battling for her. Spea ...more
I loved this book; it is going to be a great series! If you like romance, suspense, and action then you need to read this book. I stayed up reading this book all night because I just could not put it down. When I got to the end of a chapter, something else happened and I had to read what was next, before I knew it I was finished reading it. I love the characters in this book! Julia was a CIA agent, when her mission was blown and her partner died, they pulled her back to the United States, and ga ...more
Operation Sheba definitely did not disappoint. There are spies galore--primarily CIA with some FBI thrown in--and a SEAL task force and female sniper (!) tossed in for good measure. The CIA mole is dastardly and completely without a conscience--and creepily well-prepared with backup plans for their backup plans. There's misdirection and attempts to frame the good guys, and...yeah, it was total catnip in so many ways. The big takedown at the end was all I could have hoped for, and our heroine her ...more

After reading this story, I contacted Ms Evans and asked her what her connections to the CIA were. Her story was to realistic. I loved her heroine and felt her pain loving two men.

I'm now a Misty Evans fan.

I'm not usually a spy novel sort of girl, but it was a free Kindle download; and I truly enjoyed it. It's well-paced with enough surprises to keep you entertained.

I've read other books by this author and was excited to read this one.
Misty's writing is intense and full of edge on your seat action. It's very hard to put the book down until you've read it all. The characters walk off the page and pull you along on a life and death CIA adventure, with enough twist and turns to keep you guessing. But it doesn't stop there. Our heroine must work with a past love that she thought was dead, and a friend who became a lover. Sexual tension flies as choices must be

4.4 Star Review – Operation Sheba (Super Agents, Book 1)

I recommend this book.

This book is jam packed full of suspense and a real page turner.

Julia and Conrad were in love already in the beginning but after he died she was sucked into another life.

Conrad is in fact alive and needs Julia's help.

Can she trust and love him again after he faked his own death?

Or will he just get her killed in the end.

I felt it was more suspense than romance but still a great read.

Strong characters throughou

I really like Misty Evans and the thrills and intrigue of spy books, so putting the two together in the Super Agent series is like book catnip. OPERATION SHEBA is the re-release of Ms. Evans’s debut novel with new editing and some bonus material, and it’s interesting to see the growth and maturity of her storytelling voice (much more polished in her later work) in the face of a newbie author’s growing pains. Though the story is a bit slow to g
This book blew me away resulting in a book hangover a few mornings. I highly recommend reading this one. It has everything from suspense, murder, love, second chances, intrigue, betrayal, and spice. I feel for Julia thinking the love of her life is dead and then he's thrown back into her life when she's finally moving forward. The chase is on to find the CIA traitor before it costs Julia her life. Julia is a strong character she's perfect heroine material. For Flynn he has some making up to do, ...more

This was my first book by Misty Evans and I loved it. I tend to enjoy books like this in general - men in power that sometimes have to straddle the line of what is legal/lawful for the sake of whomever or whatever they are saving. I also love a strong heroine that can hold her own and Julia is that! This book had a love triangle in it, but not in a typical sense. You saw the love triangle from the beginning so there was no build up there, but I liked it. I enjoyed the characters and they all see ...more
I loved 'Operation Sheba'. I couldn't put the book down. I was pulled in from the beginning. The storyline was exceptional. Full of thrilling scenes, along with a lot of action and even romance. The characters were all well thought out and were portrayed brilliantly. Abigail is such a kick-ass lead. This is a series I'll definitely follow. A must add to your tbr list. Highly recommended.
This book really surprised me. I got it as a free download for my Kindle because I like thrillers with a little romance thrown in the mix. This book certainly fit the bill.

Julia/Abigail is a complex woman who has overcome a horrific childhood to become the CIA's top counter-terrorist analyst. Trained by the best she has had to overcome the death of her partner and lover Conrad. Now she's finally beginning to belive in happy endings and her world is turned upside down again. Is her new lover the
My favorite quote from this book is "Whatever our souls are made of, his and mine are the same." Loved this book it was wonderful! And what an awesome story!

Action packed, edge of your seat suspense and sizzling romance!! It has everything.

I received a free copy of the book in return for an honest review.
I've never been a fan of love triangles and seeing how two very exceptional men in one, I'm now an even bigger hater of it, if that's even possible. Even if Michael does get his own book, a triangle always leaves someone short-changed. Call me singled-minded, but I've always been a stout believer in creating empathy for the principal characters (and if it's a romance, just 2 of them, please) and not have my loyalties split in a away that leaves a bitter taste of dissatisfaction.

Other that that,

“Bad guys, bombs, and bullets pop up everywhere...The CIA’s internal politics are fleshed out beautifully... With non-stop action and a fantastic heroine, Operation Sheba is a great kickoff for a debut writer.”
~Literary Nymphs

"Evans takes readers on an edge-of-your-seat thriller into the secretive world of CIA operatives. A love triangle and a mole in the agency make this one story you won't want to put down." ~ RT Reviews

“…deeply woven and masterfully written plot with many twists and turns.”

Very exciting and fast moving! Definitely a good read.....
Don't miss this fabulous CIA thriller by Misty Evans! It's an exciting page turner of an adventure with a plot that had me reading furiously until the very end. Ms. Evan's characters were absolutely fantastic, much more than that---they were real. Conrad Flynn is a hunky hero that you'll be in love before you've finished the first chapter. And his heroine, Julia Torrison is the very lady you'd consider yourself lucky to have for a best friend.

Like I said, don't miss this fabulous adventure by M

Enjoyable if a bit forgettable. It reminds me of the The Cardinal Rule by Cate Dermody. The suspense is good and the characters are fine. Good for an enjoyable read on a plane ride.
Free book on Kindle this week and I loved it!

Never heard of this author before, but now I plan to read her other books. The plot was intense and fast paced, and I found myself not wanting to put the book down. CIA, counterterrorism, romance = awesome! Julia and Conrad are a great partnership, and I'm looking forward to the other books in the series, to find out what happens with some of the other characters.

“What do you mean, is that it? I just saved his career and the CIA from ruin and he calls me a perfidious ass."
"What's perfidious mean?" Ace asked from the driver's seat.
"You deceived him and stole his girlfriend out from under his nose," Julia said to Conrad. "I think technically 'ass' is a pretty mild revilement."
"Revilement?" Ace looked at one and then the other in his rearview. "This is some kind of spy talk, isn't it? Okay, I'm down with it. Just tell me what it means.”
