Ik vond dit boek zeer aangrijpend. Zeer goed geschreven.

Gruesome, but this is how life is for children in parts of the world I am sheltered from and I wanted to read about it. This world needs so much love. Well written book though I wouldn't let my son read it until he is old enough.

This is almost more sentimental to me than anything because it one of the first books that introduced me to the atrocities of Northern Uganda.

and it continues...that is the tragedy. Powerful story of resilience, bravery.
Not for the faint of heart.

Brilliantly written. Extremely confronting. Something everyone should read.

After reading 20+ books on Uganda this book still managed to make my stomach turn at the descriptions of the atrocities that have been going on. This book had a lot more Joseph Kony in it than other books on Uganda that I have read. It is a fascinating subject to study, as the country has been among the worlds most troubled since the British gave Uganda b...more

Amazing story. I was in Gulu, Uganda last year and look forward to going back this year to bring some much needed relief and service to the area. This book is about survival. Very good.
